Bangkok

Bangkok is an awesome city. It is somewhat westernized, but is still full of thai culture, and is filled with the most magnificent temples imaginable.

Mark and I stayed on Kaoh San Road- a famous traveler's hub. Some people hate this street, and some people love it. I loved it, but perhaps that was because I didn't spend too many days there. I think this photo sums up the atmosphere of the street. It (sort of) closes to traffic at night, and fills with vendors selling almost everything, travelers, as well as many transvestite prostitutes. Talk about male harrassment- they wouldn't leave Mark alone, and they even chased him when we was visiting Bangkok on his own a few months later!

We met up with Keri at the beginning of our month in Thailand and at the end of the month as well. Here's her boyfriend, Tai, and Mark, enjoying a beer.

At the end of my month in Thailand, I took out my braids with the help of Keri and Mark. The whole time I was in asia I had my hair in little braids. I got it done twice in Bangkok, once in Bali, and once in Phuket. I never had to do my hair in the morning!
