This is where the Orangutan Rehabilitation Center is located. The center was great, it is hundreds of hectares of jungle for over 200 rescued orangutans. Twice a day, they bring bananas to feed to the few orangutans that are still dependent on handouts. The orangutans usually come to the feeding area via the ropes that help them find their way, and they eat their bananas while they hang on the ropes. It looks like they're showing off to us tourists.

There were other monkeys around too. Well, they're actually called Macaques, and they have big pink colored plastic looking butts. This looks like a devoted mom to me (though maybe a bit too overbearing):

Even though it was the day after our big hike up Mount Kinabalu, we further tortured ourselves by going on a 5k hike through the hilly jungle. We hoped to run into some orangutuns but we only got to see this nice water hole area.

And I finally caught a shot of one of the many lizards we see all the time (I think this one is called a Skink):

Back at the bed and breakfast we stayed at, I caught a tiny little gecko. The tiny ones are the only geckos I am able to catch- the rest always get away.
