My School: Camp David Elementary. One of the very few private schools in Taiwan that actually spent money on some space for the kids to run around on.

This is my baby class (ages 2-3)
8:45-9am: Breakfast (usually something nasty, like pork floss on runny rice soup). A time of stress for some of the kids, since they don't want to eat that early. This is Oscar, thinking about life in general.

9-9:30: I sing songs with them. (Where is Thumbkin, If You're Happy and You Know It, Teapot, Row Your Boat, Hokey Pokey, etc...)
9:30-10: Playtime outside. This is really only supposed to be for 15 minutes, but I make sure it's at least half an hour.

The kids have to change their shoes before and after they go out for playtime.
This is Wendy, Jenny, and Mimi

And Kevin

This is Cathy. She's very cute.

We have tomato and strawberry plants that we have to water. The picture on the right is of Rae. She is two years old. Don't you think that if a kid's hair hasn't even grown in yet, that maybe they're a bit too young to be going to school from 8:30-4:30!?!?! Anyway....

Yup, that's Mark going down the slide with the kindergarteners (he was substituting for a class). The kids go crazy when Mark comes to school in the mornings.

10-11:20: 1 hour and 20mins of hell, where I am expected to entertain them with flashcards. These kids are just TOO YOUNG for this! arg!

11:20: FINALLY, it's lunch time.
This is Wendy eating- yes, you guessed it- RICE! (everyday for lunch)

It takes them 40+ mins to eat lunch and brush their teeth to get ready for naptime.
This is Mimi at the teeth brushing station.

And get the kids into bed by noon, and I'm outta here!
This is Erin about to go for a nap. It's sad that the kids in asia learn to do this extremely annoying photo pose at such a young age :)

This is my elementary class.
They are quite enthusiastic about things, and I recently started singing "Hands up, baby, hands up. Give me your heart, gimme gimme your heart." to them, and they wouldn't stop singing it in class. So I found the song on the internet and brought it into class and played it for them. The result was that they went absolutely nuts and so out of control that I couldn't help but laugh and take pictures of them:

This is Winston, Bevan, and Steven playing in the sandbox (just before I yelled at them for playing in the box with their shoes on!) :)

We recently celebrated Halloween at school. My class won the bulletin board decorating competition! It was fun to make, though I put a lot of time into it.
These are my awesome kids, with a very awesome bulletin board made by me!

And here's Mark's class, with their cool bulletin board that I talked Mark into making with his class. (and the other adult is Joy, Mark's assistant teacher and our roommate)

And here we are. Mark's costume was my favorite costume I've seen in a while. His monitor head is a "MarkTron" monitor. There was even a power cord going out the back of his tower.
